Increasing lead gen with a customer journey-focused website

Upon partnership with Laser Red, Cyden Homes wanted to increase leads via a brand new, streamlined website and deploy an effective marketing strategy utilising the benefits of paid marketing and organic SEO.

Who are Cyden Homes?

Cyden Homes are an award-winning family-run builder of high quality 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom homes across Lincolnshire. The current branding and website don’t match the aspirational high-quality properties delivered to home owners.

The problem

The former website didn’t sell the homes or allow a user to easily browse the properties available or upcoming developments. It was also very difficult for Cyden Homes to amend anything themselves, having to go through several parties to get even the smallest changes made to the website.

Project aims

The aims of this project is to:

  • Align the brand with the industry and product
  • Design a new and engaging website that sells Cyden homes to prospective home buyers
  • Build a website that provides control and stability to the Cyden team and allows flexibility for future demands of the website

The build process

The new Cyden Homes website was developed on WordPress with a lot of custom functionality.

For the properties and developments we created bespoke custom post types which allow for the client to easy update and add new properties and developments over time while to affecting the website design.

  • and a CRM Integration to their existing system

So how has it performed?

In the first 3 months since the website was launched, Cyden Homes have seen an increase across the board from traffic and user performance:

  • Users up 67%
  • New users up 61%
  • Bounce rate decreased 16%
  • Conversions up 426%
  • Conversion rate up 252%

Google search and display advertising

With the launch of a new website, Cyden Homes needed to deploy an aggressive paid search strategy to capitalise on lead generation via a variety of target audiences. Through the utilisation of search and display ads, Cyden Homes have massively increased their brand awareness, visibility, traffic and enquiries:

  • Paid traffic up 402%
  • Bounce rate down 9%
  • 498% increase in impressions
  • 21% decrease in CPC
  • 1839% increase in conversions


Optimised for search

In addition to their paid advertising campaigns, Cyden Homes are also hoping to improve their online authority, visibility, traffic and ultimately enquiries but utilitising an organic marketing strategy.

While it is early days into their campaign, Cyden are already starting to climb the search results for a number of high volume keywords.
